Dr. Jonathan Walston is a native of Montgomery County and was raised in Bethesda Maryland. After high school he attended the University of Maryland, College Park, where he also completed a Masters in Animal Science. His thesis focused on genetics and intracellular iron transport in potential parasites. He went on to attend Virginia Tech where he received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree and found his love for dermatology and soft tissue surgery. Outside of veterinary medicine he enjoys hiking, fishing, golf and spending time with his wife Aura, his rescue pets – a hound mix named Charlie and pure-bred dumpster cat named Larry.
